Description
AUTOCaT is a web application that automatically splits videos into clips using an automatic scene detection algorithm. It allows users to upload videos (limited to 30Mb files in the alpha release), adjust threshold and clip times, and download the separated clips in an easy zip file. The tool is free to use and prioritizes privacy by not requiring or stealing any personal data, and all video files and zip archives are destroyed every 2 hours by the server. While the mobile design is not prioritized, the tool can be used on desktop browsers. The developer is open to creating a mobile app for Android and iOS in the future if the project takes off. Although the tool is in an alpha version and may have some hiccups, users can contribute by donating to support the maintenance costs.
